The Startup Europe Summit was held in Berlin on the 12th and 13th of February at the Berlin Factory. Europe’s top startup founders and policy makers and business leaders gathered to discuss what’s next for Europe’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem,

The pop- event, attended by over 1200 people, is testament to the how vibrant the European startup scene is. Entrepreneurs from early and late stage startups , investors, VCs, accelerators, universities and established market leaders attended and participated in pitching sessions, panels and fireside chats or met more privately to pursue more direct business opportunities.

The Startup Scaleup presence at the event started with a private meeting with Anders Ansip, the Vice President of the European Commission designated for Digital Single Market, and the rest of the Startup Europe initiatives to contribute to the forthcoming development of a Digital Single Market and the Capital Market Union

Our panel on the Internet of Things, Beyond the hype was attended by around one hundred people. Hosted by Tanya Suárez of BluSpecs, the panel, whose members were David Cuartielles, Co-founder and board member of Arduino, Hermann Salmen, the CTO Strategy and Business Development Executive for Wincor Nixdorf International, Christian Bogatu is the Co-founder and MD of Kiwi.ki and Jackson Bond, from Relayr.

Juan Angel Pastor of the UPCT also presented our aims and explained what makes us tick and why we are unique at the Connecting Europe´s Startup HUB panel on the Friday morning, alongside other Startup Europe initiatives.

Our stand attracted the interest of entrepreneurs operating in the Internet of Things, but also other fields, as well as many other stakeholders. But it was also a great opportunity for us to meet and understand other players and stakeholders operating in the European entrepreneurship arena and we’ll be using these insights to design and launch our own acceleration services.
